Hobby Golf started the way most great stories don’t — with a heatstroke. In a duck blind.
What was supposed to be a laid-back December hunt off the South Carolina coast with PGA Tour pro Kevin Kisner, a few hometown friends, and some of his Tour buddies turned into a scramble for survival. One of those friends, Kevin Molony, went down hard from severe heatstroke. No service. No medics. Just a crew of friends, courageous duck guides, quick thinking, and a whole lot of prayer.
By the grace of God, he pulled through — but the moment left its mark. Back home in Aiken, Molony, Kisner, and their friends carried that reminder with them: life moves fast, and second chances don’t always come around. But when they do — you take ’em.
That mindset inspired The Hobby, a private speakeasy-style golf club in Aiken — part simulator, part clubhouse, all camaraderie — built for those who love the game and the friendships it creates.
Hobby Golf is the natural next chapter. It’s more than gear. It’s a brand rooted in real friendships, real faith, and the belief that golf’s better when it’s not taken too seriously.
And we’re just getting started. With new Hobby speakeasy locations on the horizon and fresh apparel drops in the works, our community is growing — one good shot, one laugh, and one second chance at a time.
Two Off the First isn’t just a saying. It’s our reset button. Our reminder that there’s always another swing.
Around here, we always take Two Off The First.
Step inside The Hobby Aiken, our speakeasy-style golf club where friends, faith, and fairways come together. Then get a sneak peek at what’s next — The Hobby Greenville — bigger, bolder, and ready to bring the same good times, great golf, and the same 'ole top-notched type of dudes to a new city. Where next? Oh, you just wait, baby!
At Hobby Golf, we believe the game is at its best when it’s shared — with friends, with laughter, and without taking ourselves too seriously. Golf isn’t just about scorecards or swings; it’s about the moments in between.
Our philosophy is simple:

We design our spaces and our gear to reflect this — from the speakeasy-style Hobby clubs where conversations last longer than rounds, to apparel that’s as comfortable telling stories after a round as it is hitting drives during it.
Because at the end of the day, the best shot you take might just be your “Two Off the First.”

Custom designed from the ground up, it’s a premium short-sleeved pullover hoody built for the way we live the game.
On the course, it moves with you — lightweight, breathable, and tailored for a full swing without the bulk. Thoughtful touches like nipple protection (because nobody wants to chafe through 18 holes) and a magnet-down hood (so it stays put when you hammer that driver) make it as functional as it is stylish.
In the speakeasy, it delivers a refined, relaxed look that feels right at home over a cold drink or a good story.
Every detail was considered — from high-quality fabrics and stitching to a fit that works year-round in the South (and beyond). It’s not just another hoodie; it’s a piece of the Hobby Golf mindset you can wear anywhere. Whether you’re chasing birdies or catching up with friends, the Hobby Hoodie is always ready for the Speakeasy or the Course.

Known for his straight talk, quick wit, and relentless competitive spirit, Kis has earned respect both inside the ropes and far beyond the course.
With multiple PGA Tour wins and Presidents Cup appearances, a soon-to-be Ryder Cup Assistant Captain debut, and now a role as NBC’s lead golf analyst, he’s seen the game from every angle. But for Kisner, golf has always been about more than trophies — it’s about the people, the moments, and the stories you tell after the round.
That’s why Hobby Golf was a natural fit. From the duck blind heatstroke rescue that sparked the idea, to shaping The Hobby speakeasy in Aiken, Greenville, Augusta and beyond, Kisner’s been there from day one — bringing the same authenticity, humor, and determination to the brand that he brings to every round he plays.
For Kis, “Two Off the First” isn’t just a saying. It’s a way of life.
